April 30th, 2026: Whether you’re on your lunch break, commuting, or waiting for a flight, Netflix on your phone is always with you. An exciting first step is being taken towards evolving mobile for members. A new mobile experience is rolling out, making it faster, easier, and more fun to find something you’ll love to watch, listen to, or play.
Last year, Netflix updated the TV experience for the first time in more than a decade, and now that same focus on simplicity and delight is brought to mobile. The new design puts what users care about front and center, with streamlined navigation and a visual, vertical discovery experience designed for mobile use.
Netflix is introducing ‘Clips,’ the new vertical video feed. Quick, visual, and makes tapping into something that interests users easy. ‘Clips’ acts as a personalized highlight reel that helps members decide what to watch or play next, without endless scrolling. There will be short clips from series, films and specials tailored to individual tastes, with an easy way to go deeper when something stands out.
‘Clips,’ is designed to do more than just entertain; it’s designed to help turn discovery into action:
- Add to ‘My List’: Add movies and shows straight to your list from the feed.
- Share: Use the arrow at the bottom to share recommendations with friends and followers via text or social media directly from the feed.
- Explore: Browse a world of entertainment personalized to help you decide what to press play on next.
In the future, ‘Clips’ will be expanded to include podcasts, live programming and collections based on genres, like romance or specific interests, offering more discovery choices at your fingertips.
“Mobile is an important part of how Netflix members stay connected to the entertainment they love. With our enhanced navigation and Clips, our new vertical video feed, we’re building on past learnings to deliver an experience designed for the way members want to enjoy Netflix on their phones: for the moments in between, to discover a new title, or a quick laugh,” said Elizabeth Stone, Netflix’s Chief Product and Technology Officer. “Our vision is to make our mobile experience as entertaining as what you watch, delivering increasingly personalized, immersive experiences for any mood or moment. This is just the beginning.”
These updates are available starting today in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines and South Africa, and will roll out to the rest of the world in the months to come. This is just the beginning of what Netflix is building on mobile phones. The goal is to create a truly great entertainment experience on mobile phones, across watching, listening and playing.
