1 October 2026: ASB Capital, a purpose-driven asset and wealth management firm with assets under management (AUM) of USD 10.2 billion, announced the launch of the ASB Liquidity Fund. The Fund is a Shari’a-compliant money market fund designed to provide investors with a liquid investment solution focused on capital preservation, daily liquidity, low volatility, and risk-adjusted returns.

The Fund deploys capital across a diversified portfolio of high-quality short-term deposits and debentures issued by governments, government entities, banks, and other eligible issuers across the GCC and wider MENA markets. Its highly liquid portfolio is actively managed to maintain low volatility while targeting higher risk-adjusted returns.

The ASB Liquidity Fund addresses a practical challenge faced by investors managing short-term cash. Investing directly in deposits requires ongoing rate monitoring, duration management, and reinvestment. The Fund consolidates these responsibilities within a single actively managed portfolio, giving investors diversified exposure without the administrative burden of managing multiple exposures directly.

The launch broadens ASB Capital’s investment platform and reinforces its ability to serve clients across the full risk and liquidity spectrum, from daily liquidity and cash management requirements to longer-term public and private market allocations.

Commenting on the launch, Rafik Nayed, Managing Director of ASB Capital: “This launch marks an important step in further developing ASB Capital’s investment platform across the risk spectrum. By offering clients an actively managed money market fund alongside our broader public and private market capabilities, we can support their requirements at every stage of the investment cycle and assist in capital allocation with greater efficiency and flexibility.”

Hussain Abdulhaq, Chief Treasury Officer of Al Salam Bank, added: “The ASB Liquidity Fund responds to a fundamental requirement shared by institutions, businesses, and private investors: managing available cash efficiently while maintaining liquidity and capital preservation. By bringing together active portfolio management, diversification, and daily access within a single solution, the Fund removes much of the complexity involved in managing multiple deposits and maturities.”
