Lulu Brings New Zealand Flavours to Saudi Shoppers & Promotes ‘Made With Care’ drive

The New Zealand Week Festival at LuLu Saudi Hypermarket, was inaugurated this morning at the Diplomatic Quarter branch of the hypermarket in Riyadh by Mr. Joel Sims, the Trade Commissioner of New Zealand to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait.
The grand showcase of over 300 New Zealand product lines led by six top New Zealand brands – Anchor dairy products, Manuka Doctor premium honey, Egmont Honey, Rockitt Apples, Watties frozen and packaged foods – will underline the top quality and variety of NZ food products with the “Made With Care” promotional campaign. The campaign will see Tasting Tables for sampling and Live Cooking demos across select LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets in Riyadh, Dammam, Yanbu and Jeddah. The promotion will give shoppers an opportunity to experiment with premium NZ flavours.
Accompanying Mr. Sims was Ms. Hiba Abu Reyaleh _ Trade & Commercial Advisor – Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait. They were greeted by Mr. Shehim Mohammed – Director, LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets, Mr. Hatim Mustansir, Regional Director, Central Province, LuLu, Mr. Abdul Jaleel, Regional Manager, Central Province, LuLu and senior management.
The inauguration included a VIP Purple Carpet welcome and tour of a colourful Product Wall. Mr. Sims also unveiled the line-up of new products, tasted NZ specialities in the Hot Foods Section and noted the exceptional quality of NZ Kiwi Fruit and apples.
New Zealand Week runs till March 2nd across all LuLu hypermarkets in KSA. On special promotional sale at extraordinary prices will be all the gourmet items which New Zealand is famous for: juicy cuts of New Zealand meat (the New Zealand meat industry is a leading exporter of prime cuts of red meat to Saudi Arabia), an amazing variety of fruits and vegetables and dairy products – especially cheeses, butter and milk. Frozen foods such as oriental vegetable mix, berries and prepared meat snacks, organic honey and biscuits will join the specialty food brands to tempt shoppers.
