LULU SA FEST SHOWCASES SOUTH AFRICAN GOODIES

Nearly 32 new products marketed by nine all-new South African brands will be available to shoppers at the LuLu Hypermarket’s “Proudly South African” festival which began today. It was inaugurated at LuLu Hypermarket in Atyaf Mall, Riyadh by the Excellency Mr. Mogobo David Magabe, the South African Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other distinguished guests were welcomed by Mr. Shehim Mohammed, Director, LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets.

The “Proudly South African” Festival will run till May 13th, 2024. It will highlight South Africa’s wide range of juicy and wholesome foods – fruits and veg, exotic antipasti condiments made from South African peppers, juices, and high-quality canned fruit. Especially interesting for shoppers will be the nearly 32 S. African products which will be introduced by nine top new brands.

These new products will join the 560 popular South African products already available on the shelves of LuLu, from 58 top South African brands such as Nando’s, Westphalia, Blue Diamond Almond Milk, Rooibos Tea, Dewlands Juices and Cape Herb & Spice, which will have promotions running.

The S. African Ambassador H.E. Mogobo praised LuLu’s stellar role in promoting South African goods globally and nurturing the commercial ties between South Africa and Saudi Arabia.  He said the festival was particularly significant as South Africa was celebrating 30 years of democracy under the “Partnership & Growth”.

“There has been growing shopper interest in S. African products – in just one year between 2022 and 2023, sales value of S. African products has grown in KSA by 7%,” said Mr. Shehim Mohammed, “LuLu Group has recognized the range and quality of South African products and you will find more and more of them on our shelves,”.
